Acoustic solutions
Wall soundproofing
To stop noise passing from one room to another, the wall itself has to change. We build heavier, sealed and decoupled walls that keep conversations and noise where they belong.
What's included
Wall soundproofing
- Double-leaf gypsum wallsTwo or more board layers on each side for more mass.
- Mineral wool infillFills the cavity to absorb sound inside the wall.
- Resilient channelsSeparate the board from the frame so vibration can't pass through.
- Mass-loaded vinylA dense, thin layer that adds blocking power where space is tight.
- Acoustic sealingGaps around sockets, doors and ceilings are sealed, because small gaps leak sound.

Questions
Questions
Can you soundproof an existing wall?
Yes. We can add layers and insulation to one side of an existing wall, usually adding 50 to 100 mm in thickness.
Will soundproofing stop bass from a neighbour's speakers?
Low bass is the hardest to stop. It needs mass and decoupling, and sometimes floor and ceiling work. We assess it on site.
